  • Bug fix so that transparent and inverse colors are properly drawn onto the image when using a non-standard color palette.  Standard color palettes are those in which the first color entry is 'black' and the last is 'white'.
  • Bug fix to the installation program so that 'Add/Remove Programs' can be used to uninstall the program.

Version 3.00 Revision 5A:

  • Enhancement to the .EXE/.DLL file viewer so that icons can be extracted from files used by Windows 95/98/NT (32-bit). The old code only allowed icons to be extracted from files used by Windows 3.X (16-bit).
  • Bug fix to ‘Send Mail Feature Request’ and ‘Send Mail Bug Report’ commands so that they would work with computer systems that do not support ‘Extended MAPI’.

Version 3.00 Revision 6:
  • Added ‘Configure Palette’ command so that an image’s color information can be manipulated. Manipulations include such features as the ability to reduce the number of colors used to display the image, reordering of the colors so that they are ordered from ‘most popular’ to ‘least popular’, and color gradation.
  • Added ‘Save Color Palette’ command so that color information can be saved.
  • Added ‘Load Color Palette’ command so that color information can be retrieved.
  • Added two new panels to the status bar that display the current pen selections.
  • Bug fix to the ‘Draw Text’ tool so that resource leak does not occur.
  • Bug fix to file chooser (used by file ‘Open’ and ‘Save’ commands) so that the filter string used by the ‘All image files’ file type is constructed properly.
  • Enhancement so that a nicer ‘placeholder’ icon is used when the image is too large to display in the workspace area.

Version 3.00 Revision 7:
  • Added ‘Color‘ and ‘Convert‘ menus to provide access to new commands.
  • Added ‘Configure Palette’, ‘Load Color Palette’, and ‘Save Color Palette‘ commands to the ‘Color’ menu.
  • Added ‘Set Screen Color‘ command to the ‘Color’ menu so that the user can configure the color to use for the transparent portions of the image.
  • Added ‘Set Inverse Color‘ command to the ‘Color’ menu so that the user can configure the color to use for the transparent portions of the image that is the inverse of the screen.
  • Added ‘Convert Size‘ command to the ‘Convert’ menu so that the user can quickly change the size of the image.

  • Enhancement to the ‘Add Image’ command so that the new image can be created from the selected area of the current image.

  • Bug Fix to the installation program so that the installation will continue if edit fields (user name, company name, registration code) are empty.

Version 3.00 Revision 9B:

  • Bug Fix to the ‘Windows Metafile’ (*.wmf) file viewer so that it no longer reports error messages when it is unable to validate a file as being a metafile.
  • Enhancement to the ‘Windows Cursor’ (*.cur) file viewer so that it is able to read cursor files that contain 24-bit images.

Version 3.00 Revision 10:
  • Bug fix to the following tools so that they do not draw onto the image when opening a file by double-clicking on the filename from the ‘Open’ dialog: Pencil, Brush, Line, and Text.
  • Bug fix to the Spray tool so that it does generate a fault when it is selected.

  • Bug fix to DLL file saving so that the DLL file does not have to preexist in order to be saved.
  • Bug fix to the XBM and XPM file format viewers so that images with long filenames are saved properly and so that the file can be read when the “unsigned” keyword is not present.
  • Bug fix to the XPM file format viewer so that transparent pixels are preserved and not converted into a non-transparent color when an image is saved.
  • Enhancement to the XBM file format viewer so that images are saved with transparent pixels represented by the color that most closely matches the screen representation color.
  • Enhancement to the XBM file format viewer so that images can be saved with newline <CR> or newline/linefeed <CRLF> characters.
  • Enhancement to the JPEG file format viewer so that it supports file saving.
  • Enhancement to the JPEG file format viewer so that the quality factor can be set when saving an image.
